Here is a summary of the many design services that we offer, as well as some pricing information. Our rate for basic* web site design is $250 to set up the site with a "home" page (color theme, buttons and links), then approximately $60-$90 per extra page. This is based on a charge of $50/hour for a 2-4 week turnaround on custom work, and $70/hour for “rush” work needed under 2 weeks.

These prices are only estimates calculated from past projects that we’ve done. Your actual project price will be determined by the quantity and quality of the work that you desire ... YOU COULD SPEND EVEN LESS!!!

* Basic web sites at this rate may consist of your scanned corporate logo on the home page, background images, development of menu and navigation system, formatting of customer provided text content, HTML coding, etc.

Some examples of web site or other jobs that are not considered "basic" might be: custom graphics, logo design, animated graphics, JavaScript menus or mouse-over graphics, complex interface design, etc.

If the "custom" work described in the previous paragraph is the type of work that you need done, please e-mail 2D Graphics at contact 2D Graphics for a written estimate. Spare no details if possible. We will return a quote to you within two days.
Put "web site design" as the subject line of your e-mail Be sure to include your telephone number and e-mail address (very important).

We will also help you register your URL "dot com" (domain name) and provide web hosting services.

Getting a Project Started:
After you send a request by e-mail, we will get back to you within a day or two (via e-mail). If more information is needed to give you an accurate quote, you will be notified.

If the estimate sounds good to you, contact us and you’ll be sent an official contract that contains all of the agreed work, prices & payment options. A deposit of 1/2 of the quote is required up front before any work is started. Once we receive the deposit, the completed contract, and all the information needed for the project, the work will begin! We will either set up a temporary URL or send "GIF" images by e-mail that will show the progress of your job, from initial ideas to final drafts. Your feedback on the work in progress and any new suggestions we might have will speed the job along. Once you are happy with the design, you will receive all the artwork (in graphic vector or bitmap format for logos or illustration, and HTML format with accompanying graphics for web design) emailed in a .ZIP file, sent on a disk, or we can upload it directly to your server. We will then bill you for the remaining amount.

Web Design

web site links

Web site designs with creative graphics are what we like to do the most. You might want a totally new site or a site redesign. Your project will be handled professionally. Pricing on web design is based on the number of hours spent on your site. Before you get an estimate of cost, we need to know 3 things about your future site: the number of pages it will have, the complexity level, and if you require any special features:

1. Amount of Pages - The price of your web site will largely be determined by the number of pages that you want. There is a big difference between a 2 page web site and a 222 page site. Also, pages that contain mostly text are, of course, much easier to design than pages with graphics. Indicate this, as well.

2. Level of Complexity - How do you imagine your web site to look? Do you want it to be fast-loading (mostly text), or a colorful, multimedia site with interactive icons and animation throughout? A good thing for you to do is list some web sites that are your favorites, or ones that have a style that you'd like to emulate. This will help us better understand what you are going for and we can give a more accurate quote. All web sites are put into 3 categories (Basic, Medium and Extreme). Basic or "simple" sites are mostly text and have basic graphics. Medium sites include some custom graphics and interactivity. Extreme or "advanced" sites are more involved, with custom graphics, animation, interactive menus and other complex features ... this would be the best idea for for a more professional look and hi-tech public image.

3. Other Requirements (see panel to the right) - If you need special features such as a site search and listing with Yahoo! and other search engines, 3D animation, Flash movies, special buttons, mouse rollovers, backgrounds, sound files, banners and other small web "elements" to suit your web site "theme", etc. ... Be sure and let us know. Though these items can affect the price greatly, they are by no means discouraged and can add a special originality to your web site in a World Wide Web of mediocrity!

Custom graphics

The price just depends on the time it takes to create each button. Here is a price breakdown for each of the three styles: Simple: $5-$15 (i.e.: buttons, backgrounds), Medium: $20-$50 (i.e.: buttons, backgrounds, simple rollovers), Advanced: $50-$100 (rollovers, animated icons, complex buttons). The more buttons that you want created, the cheaper the individual price usually works out to be.

Flash animations will be based on the complexity of each individual movie. Every movie requires its own special concentration of creativity, so prices vary greatly.

web site graphics
Banners ... (those advertisements you see across the tops of most web sites you visit) ... can easily be done for your business, and a great looking banner always gets clicked on more than an uninteresting one.

Getting your banner registered with the right advertising sites may take a little more work and may require certain registration fees.

Now, with all this information at our finger tips we can give you a very accurate quote on what it would take to create your site. Most web sites can run in the $1,000-$3,000 range. But you should understand that a 40 page web site with full custom graphics and special menus, with dozens of links and several Flash movies can cost $8,000 or more. If the latter web site is what you want, then you will rapidly become our favorite client ... ;-) ... but, no matter which way you go as far as complexity is concerned, 2D Graphics will treat your project with the same degree of concentration and creativity as any other.

We can also put together a small "starter" site that consists of a web site template, the home page, a blank sub-page, some basic backgrounds and graphics, and all of the button/headers that would be needed for the site. Then you can learn some HTML and build on this yourself, adding in the content text yourself, and building the rest of the site from there on in. We will always be here to answer any questions and provide jumper cables when you get stuck (at a modest "support" fee of course!) This is a good way to have a great looking web site on a budget (if you don't mind learning HTML).

The Creative Process: Once we agree on a price, you would need to make a list of all the sections that your web site will be structured on (you can make a rough "tree" diagram or flow chart sketch), as well as a digital document (like a basic text file from Notepad, or similar text editor) of all the text that will be contained in your site. As for custom elements: it's best to give the exact name and image idea of each button that you want to have. We can always help you organize your information if you are unclear about what you want, but the better organized you are in planning for your site, the less time it will take 2D to complete ... and in turn the less expensive it will be.

Logo Design

Logo samples

Everyone needs a logo ... some kind of symbol that shows the world your personal identity ... from the largest of corporations (big business) right down to the sole graffiti artist (monkey business) ... 2D can design your business logo no matter what your budget.

There are many definitions for a logo. Some clients just want a "groovy" font at the top of their web page and call that a logo!

Then there's what we call a "type treatment". This is basically just an "artsy" typeface with a cool computer effect applied to it.

Others want an original, full-color custom-designed logo to be used on letterhead, brochures, and T-shirts, as well as their web page. Prices vary dramatically, so it's a good idea to let us know exactly what the logo is going to be used for.
For printing (letterheads, envelopes, T-shirts, brochures, etc.), the price will be higher because of the extra time needed to make it perfect for that particular medium. For the Internet, it can be a little simpler. Here is a general price breakdown of the 3 types of logos:
Basic Logo: a "type treatment" is applied to a unique font. Usually 1 or 2 colors. $150.00 - $180.00
Medium Logo: an icon or simple graphic is created that can be associated with the name of your company. $200.00 - $490.00
Extreme Logo: These logos involve a custom graphic/illustration. Several designs will be presented depending on the type of logo requested. $500.00 - and up

This is a general breakdown and your actual logo will depend on the complexity and the number of revisions we go through to get it how you like it.

If you already have a logo designed, but you just want it animated for your web site, this is usually $200-$500, depending on what you want the animation to do. Very complicated animation can cost substantially more. In this case we would need to have your pre-designed logo on disk in an "industry accepted" PC format (such as TIF, EPS, CDR, AI, etc.)

The Creative Process: You give a good idea of what you want, even if you have to send samples of logos you like, or just tell us what kind of "feel" your going for (corporate, hi-tech, fun, casual, etc.). Then we draw up at least three (3) ideas for you to look at (sometimes even more when those creative juices start flowing!). You will be sent low-resolution GIF files to review.

After you see the first ideas for your logo, you will give me some feedback and then we will start refining the logo as per your instructions. Modifications will be done from there to get the logo exactly how you want it. If the logo will be in 3D or animated, then it can be customized accordingly from the flat shape that we have agreed on.
